Features of the MBM 1800S Automatic Paper Folder

  • Memory Keys: LED control panels let users set up to 6 standard folds with ease. A total of 30 custom folds can be stored in the memory.
  • Belt Feed System: A belt fed, air suction system on this folder allows the user to feed coated stock through with ease.
  • Variable Function: This folder comes complete with an air pressure knob that allows the user to adjust the level of air suction depending in the weight of the paper.
  • Double-Feed Sensor: Ultrasonic double-feed sensor which can detect double feeds on any white, black, printed, transparent, and a mixture of colored sheets
  • Maintenance: Removable folding roller for easy maintenance, adjustable folding roller pressure, and a spring-loaded feed angle adjustment dial

Fold Types for the MBM 1800S Automatic Paper Folder

There are six different fold types available for the MBM 1800S: (1) Letter fold (Tri-fold, C-fold), (2) Half-fold (Single fold), (3) Z-fold (Accordion, Zig Zag), (4) Double-Parallel, (5) Gate (Open Gate, Brochure), and (6) Engineering (Short Z, Fold Out, Half Accordion)

Details

The MBM 1800S is an automatic and programmable air feed tabletop folder perfectly suited for digital work. 30 custom folds and non-standard paper sizes can be stored in memory.

The 1800S by MBM is the new and improved model of the 1500S. The ultrasonic double feed sensor is new to this model and offers greatly improved functionality. The 1500S could not detect double feeds on black or transparent sheets, but the new 1800S detects double feeds on any white, printed, transparent, black or mixture of colored sheets. Also new to the 1800S is the removable folding roller for easy maintenance, the adjustable folding roller pressure, and a spring loaded feed angle adjustment dial.

The machine top cover opens and closes in two easy steps and the operator can now reach the air adjustment knob without disruption when the top cover is open. New “silver top” metal sheet for smoother paper run and better electric conductivity. Top feed, adjustable air suction feed system, suitable for digitally printed and coated stocks. The 1800S is pre-programmed with 6 standard folds, and stores 30 custom folds in memory. One-touch memory keys for custom folds. Non-standard paper sizes can be stored in memory.

The control touch panel includes 4 digit counter with batch and total functions. Test button folds 2 sheets for easy inspection. Features an extended exit tray for neat stacking of folded sheets. Automatic feed table ensures optimum feed pressure. Automatic conveyor belt and self-setting exit rollers ensure smooth ejection of folded paper. Single sheet feeding automatically maintained for different weights of paper. Display alert and audible signal in case of incorrect operation. Skew and micro-adjustment dials. All-metal construction.
